Metropolitan International United College (MIUC) has become the first-ever higher education institution to formalize a strategic partnership with ODTÜ TEKNOKENT, Türkiye’s leading science and technology park and innovation ecosystem, under the leadership of Mr. Serdar Alemdar.
This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishes a strong connection between international higher education and Türkiye’s advanced industrial and technological landscape. The collaboration enables academic cooperation, applied research, entrepreneurial development, and direct engagement with ODTÜ TEKNOKENT’s incubation and innovation infrastructure.
Through this partnership, MIUC strengthens its engagement with an ecosystem that works closely with major Turkish industrial and technology leaders, including ASELSAN, TUSAŞ, ROKETSAN, and Turkcell, alongside deep-tech startups, R&D centers, and globally competitive ventures operating within the technopark.
This initiative positions MIUC at the forefront of academic–industry collaboration, offering its academic community access to real-world innovation environments, incubation support, mentorship, and industry-driven knowledge exchange.
METU (Middle East Technical University), the parent university, provides the academic, research, and talent ecosystem, while ODTÜ TEKNOKENT (METU Technopark) operates within METU’s campus as its dedicated technology and innovation hub. This unique setup allows MIUC to directly engage with an integrated ecosystem where academia, industry, and startups collaborate to turn knowledge into high-impact technological and commercial outcomes.
